Community partners are vital to schools. These endeavors provide enrichment and experiences that allow students to apply learned skills beyond the classroom. ECO Charter School engages with the following community partners.

Yale University Center for Emotional Intelligence

Yale University provides technical assistance for an approach to social and emotional learning. The goal is to develop emotional intelligence skills and integrate these skills into both academics and daily life.

Campbell Soup Co.

Campbell’s Healthy Communities program improves access to healthy food and encourages physical activity. Students and families have the opportunity to participate in hands-on cooking classes.

Art Aware

Art Aware offers interactive art appreciation classes, visiting artist demos, trips to art museums and the Kimmel Center’s classical music presentations, and an annual student art competition.

Newton Religions Society of Friends

The Newton Religions Society of Friends creates hands-on, minds-on opportunities for students to design, create, harvest, and enjoy two school gardens and outdoor Earth Lab.

Fledging Birders Institute

Fledging Birders Institute’s program engages students in wildlife observation, exploration of the natural world, participation in citizen science projects, and creation of a compendium of Camden’s bird life via multiple technologies.
